Lenny & Susan | Downtown L.A. Maternity Session

I always enjoy going on adventures when shooting. Don’t get me wrong, I love weddings, especially because they are so emotional, but it’s fun to go to places and explore hidden spots I’ve never been to. I met Lenny and Susan the day of our shoot, but instantly felt like an old friend. I felt like I had my own personal tour guides when we traveled around LA. It was so awesome to get an inside view of the city especially from two who lived in the heart of the city. I adored how Lenny took care of Susan. He constantly made sure she was doing ok with all the walking and would even change her shoes in between shots (Isn’t that amazing?) I’m so excited for these two and their future as parents. I know they will both be amazing.

I shot Lucas and Yadira’s wedding in May and was so excited when they called to do a day after session. For those of you who are unfamiliar with day afters, they provide an opportunity for you and your love to have a photo session in your bridal gear. This is especially helpful if you were rushed during your wedding day or if you want a different look to add to your wedding photos. I love these sessions because the couple kind of gets to emotionally relive their wedding day all over again. And it’s quite fun to see people’s reactions when your walking through the middle of downtown L.A. in a wedding dress.
