There are people in your life for a season and those that are there for a lifetime. We often assume that those who are there for a lifetime are more valuable or make a bigger impact on our lives, but sometimes that’s not the case. Sometimes there are friends in life that make such an impact that it defines you and shapes you into the person you are today. Liz is one of those people for me. She was that friend in high school that supported me and pushed me to be a better person. She was that friend that literally ran beside me encouraging me to not only finish, but finish strong. I was so honored to be apart of her and Scott’s wedding. It was one of the most memorable weddings I have ever photographed or even been to. Scott and Liz chose to have a friend tell their story during the ceremony, which made it all the more intimate. Whether you knew the bride or the groom, you left knowing both and why they chose to spend this life together. Scott, no one could have picked a more perfect person for Liz. You can see that glimmer in her eye when she sees you. I’m so glad she has found someone who makes her laugh. Scot and Liz: I wish you all the best in life, wherever it takes you. You two are fearless and are going to do amazing things together and congrats once again!

“Come take my hand I won’t let you go

I’ll be your friend I will love you so deeply

I’ll be the one to kiss you at night

I’ll love you until the end of time”

“Your smile

Like daylight drippin’ through the mountian pines

Pure sunshine, summertime

And all the other simple joys of life

That warm my heart

And make it all worthwhile

Your smile”

“When there is love, I can’t wait to talk about it

When things get rough, I like to walk with you

Or when it’s night, I like to be the light that’s missing

And remind you every minute that the future isn’t written

Not Yet”

Don’t underestimate these two. They are two amazing individuals, but together, they are a force to be reckoned with. They’re wedding was an equal reflection of both of them. Mark’s family traveled far and Carly had a collection of people she had known her whole life. It was a wedding that was deeply moving, yet a celebration at the same time. I went home that night feeling blessed to be apart of their special day. Mark and Carly: I wish you the best this first year. You two have already conquered so much and I know that you will flourish and you will become stronger together because of it.
