I was so thankful that Ben and Crystal wanted to do their family session at their home in Redlands. I’m a huge fan of vintage homes and loved following the kids around and hearing all about life from a two and three year old’s perspective. It’s so sweet to hear all about Halloween and their costumes, learning to play soccer and hearing them tell me their favorite monster story. These are the moments I want to capture. The simple things that make life so so great.

Martin and Elicia’s wedding was classically perfect. They chose to flood their wedding with timeless tradition, yet chose to add little touches that were distinctly them. I love weddings that allow for a few extra minutes in between their ceremony and reception to add another photo location. It’s something that you’ll have forever.
I appreciate getting to spend time with people that fill your soul. You feel restored after spending time with them. Brooke and Lupe are two that allow you to walk away feeling refreshed and restored. I had the honor of photographing Brooke for her senior portraits. I knew she would grow to become an incredible young women. Her and Lupe are perfect for one another. I can’t wait for what the future holds for these two.
This day was perfect. I loved getting to photograph this sweet family on the beach without of a ton of people around us. It just made the day that more relaxing. Hannah is the sweetest little one and was perfect behind the camera. I was in awe of how at home she felt on the beach splashing in the water with her dad and attempting to eat the sand off her toes. I love family photos like this that just seem to flow. It makes life so sweet.
I know I say this all the time, but I loved this wedding. I’m in awe that after photographing weddings for so long, I still get teared up hearing the bride and groom exchange vows. I find myself hiding behind the camera and holding my breath when he sees her for the first time. I still get giddy when I catch those moments in which he looks at her in utter amazement like he can’t believe she said yes. Joey and Sarah’s wedding was truly special. It was full of moments in which you thank God that time stopped just for a second so you could capture those emotions. No one rushed through the day. They didn’t anxiously anticipate the next event, but simply savored each minute because they knew it was a day that would only happen once in a lifetime. Which, in my opinion, is how it should be.
